Hello! I’m so happy to (virtually) meet you. I’m originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada (born and raised) and I now reside in Dallas, Texas, USA. How did this come to be? Well, let’s rewind the clock a bit…. In June 2019, I started dating my now husband. We met through my little sister who was in a long distance relationship with one of his bestfriends. So there we were, my sister and I, living in Ontario, Canada and both in long distance relationships with our boyfriends from Texas, USA. After many trips back and forth visiting each other and meeting each others families… 6 months into our relationship, so by December 2021, we were engaged. And then 2 months after getting engaged, we were married in February 2020. It was a beautiful, whirlwind romance to say the least. And as cliché as it is to say… “When you know, you just know” & that’s absolutely true!
Finally became a mother for the first time when our firstborn, Isaiah King, was born on March 28th, 2021. After I gave birth to our son & once he turned 4 months old in July 2021. That’s when I finally moved to Texas so we could join my husband/his father there. Left my life as I knew it behind in Canada, to build a new life with my husband and son in the United States. It’s definitely been a hard adjustment being a new mom in a new country where you don’t really know anyone. My father-in-law inspired me to start this blog, and I thought why not? I’m already sharing my content across other social platforms anyways. It’s amazing how I’ve somehow become more honest and open with my audience than I am sometimes in my private life! Through this sharing, I found a passion for normalizing some of the things us mothers go through, while empowering women to take care of themselves. Self care, mental health, and finding joy in our own hobbies are just some of the things that I’m passionate about!
So I started blogging as a way to build my online presence and the whole driving force and reason behind that is because my main goal is to build a community of likeminded women and mothers to connect with, to uplift, encourage, support and empower one another. A judgement free zone. A community to lean on. Because, lets be real… Motherhood is hard and it takes a village. And not everyone has that village so why not create an amazing village of our own? For US! Let’s connect! I’m so happy you’re here!!
My hope for this website is to be a general hub for all of my content: my YouTube channel, my Instagram and shopping feeds. But in addition to that, I’m excited to blog and share a different side of myself in this space! If you know me, you know I’ll be keeping it honest and real here.
